Got Milk

29Dec08

Originally I had planned to have it so that the top would open & inside there would be a little milk or cookie creature, but I couldn’t get it to keep its shape, so I stuffed it instead.

I’m really pleased with how it turned out, even if it did take me ages to complete.

Finally!

09Dec08

I have finally finished my big plushie order after I don’t even know how long, 2 months maybe? If I’d concentrated on just making them & not starting other projects then I probably could’ve had them finished in half the time, I guess that’s something I’ll have to make sure to do in the future.

Here’s just a few of them… I forgot to get pictures of some of the other giraffes & the dragons before they left for their new home!

Ta da! :D

I’m really quite pleased with how this worked out, even if it did take more attempts then I wish to think about… If anyone else is completely crazy & would like to make a hat for their little friend let me know, I’ll attempt to post a how-to.

Right now I am attempting to knit a nice wooly hat for my super monkey sidekick Mooch. I’ve never knitted a hat before, in-fact the only things that I’ve ever knitted [besides those really easy slippers] have been scarves, which don’t really require much skill.

I’m currently on my third attempt, I think that this might be the one that I manage to get right. Keep your fingers crossed for me! Lol

Pictures will be posted of the finished hat, that’s if I don’t get too frustrated & give up on it… Until then, here’s a picture of something that I was meant to do. It is a holder for the hairclips that I made before, it was my first ever hairclip holder & I have to say I’m quite proud of it! It has a small loop of ribbon at the top to hang it on the wall, and two lengths of ribbon at the bottom to attatch all the hairclips to :)

So about a week ago, after watching me making plushies for about a year and a half, my dad announced that he wanted to try his hand at making one. Not really being able to draw, he asked me to design a template for him, so I came up with a basic template for a tree that I thought would be pretty easy for him to make… He then decided that maybe I should make it instead. So I did.

When I had made the basic tree template I thought that it’d be good to make as a monster, so I was actually quite happy to make it myself. I’m really pleased with  how he turned out, I embroidered bark on to the trunk and branches & included some button apples to the leafy part :D

Snow!

29Oct08

So last night it snowed!! I was like a kid at Christmas. Lol.

I’d seen on the weather reports that it was going to snow in Scotland & the more northern parts of England, but I wasn’t expecting it to reach as far south as London. After a while it started to settle & it just looked so beautiful… Unfortunately though most of it has melted away now, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed that it snows & settles again soon, preferably once the half term’s over and the kids are back in school so they can’t ruin it by trudging around in it and making it all mushy… Therefore enabling me to go out and build a little snowman. Haha.

Here’s a little video I managed to film before my camera [and myself] got too covered in snow.
